Seniors Realty Advisor

Experienced, professional and practical, Marce Barrera has answers to real estate questions affecting seniors and their families.

Government statistics predict an elderly population explosion will occur between 2010 and 2030 when Baby Boomers turn age 65.  Many of them will downsize homes or move in with their adult children for different reasons such as declining health, less home maintenance, lower property taxes, or better accessibility such as a home with no stairs.

There is also a growing segment of the population that is young, old, and in between that is interested in downsizing for a philosophical reason – Minimalism.  These homeowners choose to simplify and live in smaller homes with less maintenance and clutter so they have more time and freedom to do the things they love to do.

If you are planning to move soon and downsized living resonates with you, call me.  I can assist you in finding the home that is conducive to your lifestyle needs, whether it is a condo, townhome, smaller house, or a home that will accommodate a multi-generational family.

Probate Real Estate

Probate Estate Marketing

Managing a probate estate is a learning experience where the heirs may have more questions than answers.  Preparing a loved one’s home for sale only adds to the difficulty, particularly if the estate representative and heirs live outside the area.

Homes Online Broker, Marce Barrera, has successfully managed and sold over 700 corporate owned residential properties.  Probate properties are similar in that they are also vacant and need local “Hands On” management to prepare them for sale.  Marce understands the probate process and can provide the resources, skill and hands on management to successfully sell the heir’s home.

“Thank you so much for your assistance and professionalism in the sale of my mother’s house after her death at the age of 92. I was concerned the sale of the house would be very difficult given its age and overall condition, however your persistence and expertise made it possible for us to realize a cash sales price very close to your initial opinion of value.”
Kevin Grunke, Star Ranch, ID

“Your assistance with the valuation of our family trust properties was greatly appreciated. Your immediate response and apparent depth of knowledge was impressive. I would not hesitate to ask again for your trustworthy guidance in these matters.”
Sincerely, S. Taylor

“Marce is a knowledgeable and creative Realtor and will help you buy the right home or help you sell your old home at the right price.  In looking back at the Hilldrop purchase, an average Realtor couldn’t have done that.  You stand above the rest.”   E. Pemble
